What were your workouts like before joining? My workouts consisted of running only for many years.

Your nutrition? I eat a well-balanced diet, but I eat too much.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them? I thought you needed to be a weight-lifter to be able to do kettlebells. I tried the 15 day trial to see if I could do it. Even though I have never lifted before I started with light weights and I am working my way up.

What are your workouts like now? They are fun, exciting and challenging all in a family atmosphere. I love it.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
I have been here 4 months and recently ran a 5 mile race at my 5K pace. I am much stronger. I also recently ran a 30 mile training run with almost complete recovery the next day. That has never happened to me before.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell? I absolutely recommend Seacoast Kettlebell. I need the coached aspect of training. I would never push myself this much. I am benefiting greatly by the added strength. I do thank the staff for keeping the workouts challenging and varied, pointing out the correct posture for each activity and having fun at the same time.

What were your workouts like before joining?  Your nutrition?

New Year’s Day 2016 I was scrolling through Facebook and saw the SKB ad for the 8 week transformation.  I was unhappy because I was getting out of a bad relationship but couldn’t give the ring back – my finger had gotten too big!  My son was going to graduate high school in May and I was afraid of being in the pictures.  I knew what I had tried wasn’t working and I knew I had to try something different, so January 4th I began at SKB!  Before I joined I wasn’t working out at all.   My knees and hips had started to hurt and it was getting hard for me to do stairs.  I’m only 45!!!  I used to work at The Works teaching Spin and I never minded going to the gym… but I had gotten out of the habit.  I ate a lot of unhealthy “comfort food” and while I thought I was eating healthy I soon learned my portion sizes – especially with meats — were way out of whack.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?

When I walked in to SKB the first day to meet Sara I looked at all the contraptions – it was unlike any gym I’d ever seen – and thought to myself “Oh, HELL NO.”  But I was already there so I stayed to meet with her.  It was such a cool, fun environment and the workouts were so different, and everyone was friendly.  I kept coming!  The other obstacle was (as a single mother) just taking “me” time.  I told my sons they needed to understand dinner wasn’t always going to be ready right away, cause Mom might be at the gym.  They turned out to be my biggest cheerleaders!

What are your workouts like now?

My older son is the lacrosse goalie for his college, and he’s been putting me through his winter workouts for my “strength” days.  I can’t lift the weights he can but I can do the exercises!   He and I do the med ball ab workout I learned at SKB together.   I run 2-2.5 miles on the elliptical on the “hills” setting 3 times a week.  I still have work to do but I feel SO. MUCH. BETTER.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?

According to Jenny RD I have lost 43 pounds.  I went from wearing pants that had elastic waist or size 18 to buying my first size 12 in I don’t know how long!

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?

Absolutely 100%.  This was a lifestyle change, I was never hungry, I learned you can do anything for (30 seconds, a minute, a day, a week…), and I’ve learned so much and felt so supported the whole time!  Thank you to all of you SKBers!

About one month after joining SKB, my wife and I signed up for Jenn’s Accountables class. Two years previously, we had cut starchy carbs (potatoes, French fries, pasta, & bread) and had lost weight and belly fat — but we really didn’t know what we were doing or how to maintain our weight loss.

Accountables started with a cleanse week which was really tough, eliminating immediately all those “unhealthy” items in our diet. At the end of cleanse week, we looked and felt better. Next, as we added healthy items back into our diet, Jenn taught us about healthier eating, the ratios of protein to fats to carbs, dietary fiber and the glycemic index, and most importantly, how to properly read and understand a food label, and where to find the “good for you” items in the supermarket.

Since completing this class, we now feel that Jenn has given us the tools and means to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
Before joining SKB, my workouts consisted of jogging and planet fitness when I could make time to do so. I would say that I maybe went to planet fitness a handful of times over the last year. As a self-employed new mother, I have struggled to make time for exercising since my daughter was born. I have really pretty much struggled in making time for myself in general since she was born!

My nutrition wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t that great either; I would usually grab a quick bite to eat in between caring for my daughter and working. Therefore, I would tend to gravitate toward food/meals that were ‘quick and easy’ so I could save time. I would typically buy what I thought was healthy, but I would say I wasn’t fully informed on what ‘healthy’ really was in regard to the food I was eating. I definitely struggled to make time for eating/drinking water in my day, and would often have long stretches of time during the day where I wouldn’t eat or drink anything! Life was just very much ‘on the go’ and I’m pretty sure I was in a dehydrated state most of the time.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?
I don’t think that I had too many obstacles; because I work from home and am self-employed, I have the luxury to choose what hours of the day that I work. I had to readjust my work schedule, as I would usually work at night, until anywhere between 2AM and 4AM, because that was when my little one was sleeping and I could get more work done. I was hesitant in signing up for a 6AM class, mainly because I wasn’t getting enough sleep as it was! However, after the first week of classes, I started to find that I was able to accomplish more of my workload in the morning after my SKB class while baby was sleeping. I also noticed that my sleeping habits had become much more ‘regular’. It may sound silly, but joining 6AM SKB classes really helped me to organize my day to day life! Before joining, I didn’t realize how disorganized and inconsistent my day-to-day life really was.

My intentions in joining SKB were less about weight loss and more about firming up and toning my body. I was looking to get back the body I had before pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood entered the picture. I also knew that I needed guidance in regard to my eating habits and my daily intake of water.

What are your workouts/nutrition like now?
My workouts are much more consistent and well-rounded now. Prior to joining SKB, my workouts consisted primarily of cardio and I had no real workout schedule, so they occurred infrequently and inconsistently. Since joining SKB and finishing the 6 Week Transformation Challenge, I have adopted an actual schedule for my workouts! I attend four SKB classes a week, where I get a well-rounded workout involving strength building and cardio, and I also go to Planet Fitness twice per week, where I typically get utilize the elliptical machines for straight up cardio (I have a knee injury that is currently preventing me from jogging on the roads, so using an elliptical has been a wonderful substitute). Having a workout routine through SKB has changed my day-to-day life and include, for me, more well-rounded and consistent workouts, better overall nutrition, better intake of water each day, feeling knowledgeable and confident in building meals plans and grocery lists, better sleeping habits, more consistent work schedule, and simply just feeling balanced in life overall!

I would say that the knowledge I gained from taking SKB’s nutrition class has been life-changing, as well as invaluable. Throughout the program, I learned how poor my eating habits really were in regard to how often I was eating and drinking water, as well as what I was eating when I was eating. I had never really thought about how my eating habits were affecting my metabolism, blood-sugar, etc. throughout the day. I also never really looked at ingredients lists or nutrition facts, and if I did, I was somewhat ignorant to what I needed to be looking for. You would think that someone who struggles to find time to eat consistently would lose weight and look great, right? WRONG. Since joining I have followed the guidelines for eating healthy that was outlined in the nutrition course and have been eating more food, more often, and have been LOSING weight! It’s bananas…

I had said that I wanted to get back to having the body I had before pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood entered the picture; So far, the results I have seen have far exceeded my expectations. Ultimately, I am in much better shape and am much healthier now than I was before pregnancy.

What specific results have you seen in yourself since joining?
I am really proud of the results I have seen. Since joining, I have lost 9lbs and have seen a 4% reduction in Body Fat, a 2% gain in muscle, a 1.5” loss around my waist, a 2” loss in my hips, and .5” loss around my bicep.

Aside from the measurements that have been taken from both the start and end of the 6 Week Challenge, I can say that I feel so much stronger and that I am much Happier with how my clothes fit!

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
Abso-fricken-lutely! <3 Sarah W.

What were your workouts like before joining? I would go to the gym and be on the eliptical or treadmill for 30 minutes then I would do the same weight routine depending on the day. It got to the point where I wouldn’t go because I wasn’t seeing any changes. I would never sweat or even feel like I worked out.

Your nutrition? For nutrition I would try what ever fad diet was out and would usually fail. I tried shakes for a while and saw no change as well.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them? Obstacles? Just getting up to go and making sure I go was difficult. I work 12 to 13 hour night shifts. Making sure I would squeeze in a work out between shifts takes a lot of commitment. Nutrition was another obstacle. Realizing it’s a lifestyle change not the newest latest and greatest fad diet.

What are your workouts like now? My work outs are great. I’m not bored. I sweat and actually feel like I am working out and seeing the changes to my body not only the way I look but physically.

What specific results have you gotten since joining? My core is stronger! My arms and legs are more defined. I feel better and stronger every day. Not to mention the inches and weight I have lost all over my body.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell? I get told I look great everyday and people can’t believe how much weight I lost. I give the credit to SKB and tell people it’s a commitment worth making. Both nutrition and workouts.

Prior to joining SKB in March 2014, my primary physical activity was walking my 13 yr old boxer, Amos. When he died, I desperately needed an alternate routine so I started with a 30 day trial. Initially, I was skeptical. It seemed I was older than most, the large group workouts were daunting, and I only seemed to see the folks who were incredibly fit and strong. But, within 3 weeks I realized the SKB community was special and welcoming to anyone interested in getting stronger and that there were members of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels–I signed on for 15 months. I was impressed by how all the workouts could be modified and that I would be able to fully participate. It took me a few months to figure out which schedule was best and I settled into weekdays @ 6 a.m. large group, Yoga and/or Foundations on Saturday. I even began to tolerate the play list. By September 2015, I was feeling fit and had lost 12 pounds but then I had surgery and gained the weight back.

When I returned to SKB in December 2015, it was so great to see everyone again and I was determined to get back into pre-op condition. I also decided to retire in February 2016 and realized I needed to get serious about my nutrition and eating habits. To my good fortune, Accountables was starting on the eve of my retirement. Providence!

The nutrition education–EXCELLENT. The food guidelines and eating plan–DELICIOUS and EASY to implement. The best part is that this is not a “diet”. I have never eaten so much and such tasty real food! “Diets”, to me, have always meant deprivation and Jenn RD’s plan is anything but deprivation. I now firmly believe the staff’s mantra that conditioning and fitness is 70% nutrition and 30% exercise. It is exceptional for a gym to have this focus. People say they workout so that they can eat whatever they want. Doesn’t work. Not for me anyway. I needed to change and have changed what I want to eat: nutrient dense foods.

Four weeks after Accountables, several of the 6 a.m. folks took the Leaner Faster Stronger Challenge. What fun we had doing this together and sharing recipes, tips, struggles, challenges, successes and encouraging each other to meet our individual goals. When I started, I wanted to get back down to my normal and comfortable size 12. The inches just came off and I am down to size 8. Have not been anywhere close to this size since 6th grade. It is truly amazing to me. I certainly never thought I would be on the success wall.

I have been a life long fast walker with no aspirations to run. With these reductions, I spontaneously started jogging and surprisingly am enjoying it. I have also been doing some extra cardio and chin-ups after WOD a few days per week. One day that bell will ring loud and long when I can do chin-ups without any assistance.

Thanks to every member and the entire SKB staff for all the support that has come in a variety of ways— from happily being a workout buddy to explaining a technique, to teaching me how to roast beets, to just saying hello. And, thanks especially for the constant encouragement and humor that makes the WOD fun–each and every time–well, most every time

Do I recommend SKB? Absolutely!

What were your workouts like before joining?
Before I joined Seacoast Kettlebell I ran quite a bit and thought myself to be in good shape. It all goes back about four years when I looked in the mirror and saw someone I didn’t recognize. I let myself get to the heaviest I’ve ever been. That jump started me into running for the first time and starting to eat healthy. I used Weight Watchers and lost a good amount of weight, about 30lbs. However 3 years went by I was thinking it was ok to eat some of the things I had stopped since I was running; then the running slowed as well and the next thing I knew I was creeping back up 20lbs. I didn’t feel as healthy, I moved slower and when I did run I was running slow paces and in more pain. I needed something to change my lifestyle for good. That is where Seacoast Kettlebell’s 8 week challenge came in. I saw it and read the other testimonials, said what have I got to loose and gave it a shot.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?

The biggest obstacle to overcome was the time commitment. I originally started out at just a couple days a week and soon realized that a very focused one hour class was perfect. I go directly after work now up to five times a week. I eat dinner slightly later but it is all about planning and planning for meals. Jenn really helped in that department, I’ve learned to better plan the week out both exercising and food which each help me deal with the other. Now being healthier and stronger I actually seem to have more energy after the workout to be more productive before bed.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?

While I am not at the lowest weight I was after running for four months, with 8 weeks I’m very close. The reinforcing idea is that weight is just one number and not the one you should be focusing on. Jenn’s measurements of me during the program and even more so how I feel were just the icing on the cake (err the hummus on the carrots). I’ve lost 11 lbs of pure fat, 11.6 lbs total so basically all fat. In terms of inches I’ve lost 8 ½” combined. I’m fitting into clothes that I had bought but didn’t fit into even at my lowest weight before so this goes to show you that weight is just one component. I’m much slimmer and toned than i was before. One more time: I feel fantastic and that is the most important result.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
I would recommend Seacoast Kettlebell in a heartbeat and have done so every time someone compliments me on how good I look. They get an earful of the entire program; of how great the coaches are and how supportive all the members are. I’m pretty certain they didn’t mean to get ten minutes of me talking for just paying me a compliment but I know I couldn’t have done it without Seacoast Kettlebell. It’s a lifestyle change for good not like any of the other diets or programs i’ve done before even though some of them lasted a couple years I know this one will last a lifetime. It’s a much different feeling now than after the others. And I can’t put into words in this testimonial how it feels it is one of those things you will have to find out for yourself and I urge you to do it. If you’ve ever been to the Grand Canyon or other wonders of the world; it’s like that. You have seen pictures and videos about those places but until you are standing at the edge of the canyon yourself in all its wonder and beauty you finally understand the vastness and importance of what you are experiencing.

Before joining SKB my workouts were limited to a maximum of two or three times a week. Each work out consisted of me walking around the gym for 75% of the time trying to stay motivated and focused. During the time that I actually worked, I was second guessing my technique and watching other people to see what they were doing. I never had real direction or confidence in my workouts. As for my diet, it didn’t really exist. Everyone has a different say in what you should and shouldn’t eat. I tried a lot of different strategies but never anything that I could really stick with.

When I had my first meeting with SKB I was nervous and wasn’t sure how I would like working out with groups of people. I was fairly self-conscious, shy, and unsure of myself. During my first workout the coaches were extremely helpful and understanding of my needs and abilities. It was not until my second class that I realized how much I was going to like SKB. When I walked in on my second day I was amazed to find that all of the SKB staff already knew and remembered my name. I had never felt more accepted and apart of something in such a short period of time. This made overcoming my insecurities extremely easy and fairly rewarding.

Currently I attend SKB 5-6 days a week and participate in large and small group workouts, as well as taking what I have learned and applying it after class by myself in the Pain Cave. Meeting monthly with Jen has been the best thing for my diet and eating habits. She has made eating healthy the easiest part of my new lifestyle. She makes eating clean and staying on track very easy and achievable. The atmosphere and attitude that I experience at the gym everyday makes it hard to leave some days. I can honestly say that going to the gym has become my favorite part of every day. SKB has made me love pushing myself harder and further and the results have made me addicted to fitness and living a healthier lifestyle.

My whole reason for joining SKB was to get in shape to get a job in law enforcement. Since starting a year ago I have by far surpassed those requirement’s and recently been hired by a law enforcement agency in New Hampshire. I have lost multiple inches all over my body and lowered my body fat% while gaining muscle! My results have gone much further than just numbers. Since joining I have become an overall happier and more confident person.

If you have ever wanted to be part of something great, have a family away from home, and transform you life, then joining Seacoast Kettlebell is the step you need to take!

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
Before joining Seacoast Kettlebell, my workouts were very routine and boring. I would go to planet fitness 3-4 times a week, do the typical cardio, abs and whatever body part I was supposed to work out that day. The results I saw in my body came very slowly and too soon, my body got used to the mundane exercises and the changes I wanted stopped happening. I dreaded going to the gym. It was an hour out of my day I knew I needed but also an hour I wished was more exciting and fulfilling. I wasn’t motivated and I needed a good kick in the butt to keep me going. As far as nutrition goes I have been “dieting” since I can remember and I have tried just about everything- low carb, counting calories, weightwatchers, and most recently counting my macros. It becomes an obsession, weighing and measuring and sometimes eating more than you need to so that you meet your daily goal. Those diets like my gym workouts worked for a time and then stopped. It wasn’t a lifestyle that you could maintain; the food wasn’t satisfying and it was a lot harder than it should have been.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?
My entire life there has been skinny people and people like me — overweight people. When you’re overweight, you overthink everything from what people see you eating, to the clothes you wear, and the activities you choose to do. Even before joining Seacoast Kettlebell, going to the gym was a constant anxiety I had. I didn’t want people looking at me; looking at the extra weight I was carrying or “judging” me. I finally got over that fear at my regular gym where I could mind my own business and work out alone but coming to Seacoast Kettlebell brought a whole new rush of anxiety. I would be working out with 30-40 people at any given time and my thoughts became “I’m going to be the weakest there, I’m not going to be able to do it, people are going to make fun of me, no one will want to be partners with me and that EVERYONE would be staring.” That was the farthest from the truth. Everyone, the coaches and clients are so motivating and helpful. I have met so many wonderful people here. Working out in a group makes you push yourself that much harder. You want to keep going, you want to finish because you know everyone around you is feeling the same rush of “pain” from the exercises that you are. It’s a “we are all in this together mentality” and from the minute I walked into SKB, I never once felt out of place or scared.

What are your workouts like now?
You can find me at Seacoast Kettlebell five to six days a week. I honestly cannot get enough. It’s my favorite part of the day. I usually do small groups two days a week, which has been the most helpful for working on my form. The other days I do large group. I always feel challenged; I always leave feeling like I just got the best workout ever. I never leave this gym like I did Planet Fitness feeling I could have done more. I love that they offer boxing, yoga, and foundations classes. Its so easy to mix it up. These workouts are intense, they are hard, and they are so gratifying once you finish them. It’s always something new and exciting and worth EVERY penny.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
Since joining Seacoast Kettlebells 8 week program, I am 6 weeks in and I have lost 8 pounds, 4 inches off of my waist and I have completely lost the anxiety of working out. But, more importantly, thanks to the dietitian, Jenn Gosselin, I have gained a sense of ownership over my cooking. I’m no longer stressed out trying to meet my macros. I eat well-balanced, delicious food and I am better informed on what real healthy eating looks like. You know what they say “abs are made in the kitchen” and I can wholeheartedly say that since I started this lifestyle change it has made all the difference. My nutrition coupled with the intense workouts has brought me muscles that I’ve never seen before, clothes that fit better, strength, and a lot more confidence and happiness in my life.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
I would and do recommend Seacoast Kettlebell to everyone! Sometimes I think I talk about it way too much; it might become what you call “word vomit”. I can’t help but talk about what a fantastic gym this is. It is filled with passionate trainers who are constantly motivating people, a nutritionist who genuinely cares about what you put into your body, and a fantastic facility where you get your “*ss kicked”. The trainers all know your name, they motivate you but they aren’t afraid to tell you when you’re doing something wrong, even if its six different times in the same workout (guilty). Everyone here is dedicated and loves their job. It an amazing group to be apart of and I think everyone should try it.

What were your workouts like before joining?
I got home from Iraq in March of 2008 and did not do anything for 8 years…no cardio, no weights, no stairs; if there was an elevator to get me one floor up, I was taking it! I dedicated minimal effort in all areas of health and nutrition. Prior to deploying I boxed at a local club and really loved it; it was a great workout, but I failed to incorporate proper nutrition into my life and remained a heavyweight boxer at 5’9”…not good. Your nutrition? My nutritional skills were the same as my workout skills, non-existent. I worked in Boston and generally had 14 hours days with the commute. I ate out every meal, even stopping at Pizzeria Regina each night in South Station for a slice and a soda to hold me over till I got home at 9:30 PM to eat whatever I picked up at the drive-thru.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?
I was fortunate to have been transferred to Concord, NH and that freed up a lot of time. The biggest obstacle though was fear…fear of failing and not being able to do the workouts or keep up or somehow feel embarrassed about how far I had fallen. I decided to check my pride and put my ego in neutral and just do it.

What are your workouts like now?

I’ve been doing small groups 3-4 times a week and trying to get into foundations on Saturdays. I’ve also done a boxing workout and trying to adjust my schedule to box more often.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
I’ve lost 24 pounds and 4 ¼ inches from my waist in 10 weeks. I can tell I’m putting on muscle and my clothes either fit way better or are too loose! But, those are the results you can measure; the ones you can’t measure, how I feel, my mental attitude, my self-talk, have improved dramatically. I have more energy, feel better about myself, bounce back from set-backs quicker and it’s paying dividends in so many other areas of my life from work, to family and friends and more.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
Absolutely, every chance I get! From the very first minute I came in for my initial fitness level I knew this was a great place! Each and every one of the trainers have been outstanding, they are engaged in the workout, encouraging and truly want to see you succeed. They also have great personalities and are pretty funny! I like that a lot. I’ve made new friends who encourage and lift you up during the workouts and it reminds me of a motto we had from my Military days in Iraq… “One Team, One Fight”, it’s a supportive environment and a lot of fun. I really can’t say enough great things about SKB!!! I plan on being a part for a long time.

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
In high school I was in fantastic shape, I went to college to play soccer and was extremely active. After freshman year I decided to focus more on my studies and did not continue to play soccer. But I did continue to eat the way I was when I was working out 7 days a week: pizza, pasta, bagels, Chinese food, and all other college staples. It wasn’t until my junior year that I looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize the person looking back at me. I had put on 50 pounds since high school, I started to workout and eat healthy again but I was always yo-yoing. I’d loose a few pounds here and there but then gain them right back when it got too difficult.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?
One day my fabulous father texted me and had me meet him at SKB. I was so nervous because of how I looked and felt. I never once felt judged when I first started. I was instantly hooked. My biggest issue has always been getting to the gym. Small group training has been the best thing for me, knowing that I am held accountable and I have to be there at a certain time keeps me motivated. Now I actually look forward to the gym!

What are your workouts like now?
I I try to make it 4 to 5 times a week and if I don’t make it, I feel guilty. The most incredible feeling is accomplishing a goal that you set for yourself. The first two months I couldn’t do a pull-up or a chin up if my life depended on it. Now with the assistance of a band, I can! And my new goal is to do one without a band.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
Since joining, I have seen incredible results. Starting with my diet, I always thought I was eating pretty healthy… ha I was wrong. JennyRD taught me how to read labels, all about portion control and has given me some of the yummiest recipes ever! With my workouts I have become stronger, faster, I have more energy, and I am more confident. Nothing else could ever get me to wake up at 5 am to make it to a 6 am class. My clothes fit me differently, and I have gone down 3 pant sizes in 5 months. I did all of this the right way by eating healthy, and working out.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
I would recommend, and do recommend Seacoast Kettlebell to everyone; it has completely changed my life. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, even when I mess up on Military Press… on two different occasions. I have made wonderful friends and great connections. The second you walk through the door you are greeted by a friendly face. The hardest part is getting up the courage to just walk in the door but once you do, you will not regret it!

– Nicole P.

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
Before joining the gym, I would say the only form of exercise was going for walks I wasn’t very active. However a couple of months before I started the gym I use to go out during the summer and kick the soccer ball around for a couple hours, ran a couple of laps around the field at a nearby park. My nutrition wasn’t the best, I ate big portions of food, mostly ate a lot of carbs, protein, fats and my diet was lacking vegetables.

What obstacle did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?
I I didn’t really have to overcome an obstacle, but there was a point in my life when I realized that I needed a change, and that I needed to take care of my health and get back into shape.

What are your workouts like now?
Since starting the gym, I have noticed dramatic improvement in my workouts. I don’t get as tired as I use to before, I push myself harder every workout session, and I go to the gym 5-6 days every week. I make sure that I am disciplined in my workouts, so that I can continue to see improvements in my health and wellness.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
Since joining, I have noticed that I am a lot more energetic especially at work. In the short time of a year I have lost 58 pounds and 8 inches around my waist. I have gain upper body strength, before starting I could only do about 10 push-ups, but now I can do 100 push-ups in under 2 minutes.

Would you recommend seacoast kettlebell?
I would definitely recommend seacoast kettle bell, to anyone and the staff are wonderful, and most importantly if you stick with it you will definitely see amazing results.

Shevan A.

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
Before joining SKB I would play racquetball occasionally, some biking and some general fitness activity. This was extremely monotonous and being the same routine over and over again, it allowed me to be “OK” with skipping the gym on a regular basis. As far as nutrition, I have gone through many stages. Either 100% on focus or completely off. Combine this with skipping of exercising, it was no wonder I got where I was! I haven’t taken the time to combine both nutrition and exercising until now.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?

Biggest obstacle for me was trying to find the time and balance between family and working out. Both are extremely important to me. After looking at the variety of times that were available, this was easy to overcome. The 2nd obstacle was – “What is Kettlebell??” Luckily my wife did the homework and wanted to give it a shot. Me being so naïve, agreed to it. Definitely glad I did!!!

What are your workouts like now?
I am currently working out 2 times a week in the small group sessions. My goal is to increase this to three times a week and participate in some additional Foundations classes to better understand all the exercises.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?

I started with SKB on November 30, 2015 with the “21 Day Shred” challenge. As of today I am 7 weeks in and have lost 35lbs and several inches. I definitely see a difference in how I feel (a lot more energy) and the way clothes are fitting. The best part – other people have started commenting as well. It is the beginning of a long journey but I am confident I will make it happen.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
100%! Everyone in the gym, those working out and staff are fantastic! All are willing to encourage and motivate you to push a little harder. The training goes above and beyond to adjust the exercise to fit your ability. This was very important to me. It made the workouts hard, but realistic. Try it once and you will be hooked!

I can’t even explain how happy I am with my transformation! After I turned 21 and started drinking, my clean eating habits and exercise regimen went out the window. I didn’t know how to get to where I was before and I sure didn’t have the willpower to eat right anymore after endless nights of pizza smothered in ranch dressing. Three months or so after turning 21, I started going back to the gym 1-2 times per week and did yoga as well for about a month. I kept getting back on track then ruining my hard work by drinking and binge eating again and again and again…

That’s when I saw an ad on Facebook for an 8-Week Transformation Program with Seacoast Kettlebell in Dover. I signed up thinking what a great new thing that I haven’t tried yet! I eagerly signed up.

The first time I walked into the gym for my intro/evaluation, I was so scared. Loud music, thirty people throwing around these kettlebells and kicking ass at it! I went to my first class back in November and walked in not knowing a soul. Words cannot express how nice, motivating, generous, and friendly ALL the people were there, including the coaches and owner! The membership also included meetings with Jenny, the dietitian, who is so sweet, outgoing, AND motivating!

After working with the various workout coaches each week, 2-3 times per week and Jenny every other week (including a dietary cleanse, so helpful for all my cravings!) I finally am back where I want to be, BUT with the muscle and tone that I always worked so hard for, but could never achieve on my own.

These are pictures from my first week and last week of my transformation program! I HIGHLY recommend this gym to every and any person who wants to get in shape in the best gym environment you could ever imagine. THANK YOU SEACOAST KETTLEBELL! I am endlessly grateful and have renewed and am now a regular member of this FANTASTIC gym!

That picture of me was taken last night. That dude, right there…the me now…full of confidence. Maybe even toeing the line into cocky here and there, but well-earned I think. Always upbeat. Always smiling. Always in a good mood (save for a few sleepless nights that bring out the crankiness, but we’re all human, right?)

That’s me 3 months ago, just before I first started at Seacoast Kettlebell. That dude? No confidence. Rocked a fake smile. And I guarantee during this picture, was holding this breath and trying to suck his gut in and hoping the camera angle wouldn’t make him look too big. (Look, I know I wasn’t obese or anything at this point, but sometimes it’s more how you feel and not how you look.) Plus, I clearly needed to iron my shorts.

I’m telling you all this because I just wrapped up a workout at Seacoast Kettlebell — a place that for the last 3 months has pushed me more than I’ve ever been pushed in my life. A place that has MADE me want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Not in “drink bro-tein shakes fuh days and lift up big things and put them down and grunt and be a doucheknuckle” lifestyle, but a “get a workout in 4-5 times a week and don’t eat like a jackhole ALL the time” lifestyle.

A place that has taglines like “Discover your potential” and “Get your ass kicked” that you think are just their cool taglines to stand out, but they’re actually true statements. If you told me 3 months ago that I’d be doing what I can do now at Kettlebell, lifting the amount of weight I am, and just keeping up with people that have been going there for YEARS, I’d call you an idiotic assclown. But I’m not, because it’s true. I’ve discovered SOME of my potential on how much I can actually do. And I say some because I know I can discover a ton more. And my ass DEFINITELY gets kicked…and I’m addicted to it (even if I absolutely hate it while it’s happening.)

Like I said, I just finished up a workout. And it was followed up by meeting with their nutritionist, JennyRD. And I’ve never felt more G*d damn proud of myself in my life!

In 3 months, I’m down 15 pounds. Bigger story, I’m down 21 FREAKIN POUNDS OF FAT. And over 10 inches overall. People NOTICE the changes in me. I can SEE the changes in me when I look in the mirror. More importantly? I can FEEL the changes inside. Seacoast Kettlebell hasn’t just melted away the pounds, but it’s melted my self-doubt, whatever shame I’ve had — I’m a totally different person. And the best part? It’s only going to get better…this is just the start for me.

JFenton_AfterWhat were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition?
Prior to joining SKB I was a member at Planet Fitness. I worked out with weights 2-3 times a week, with a couple half hour cardio sessions when I had time. I was very bored with my workout routine, and even though I tried to change it up, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted or having any fun. Which made it easy to skip workouts. Overall, I knew what I should be eating but it was easy to fall off the wagon and eat/drink the wrong things when my workouts weren’t showing the results. Since joining SKB I am much more focused on what I eat, but still allow some cheats to stay sane.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them?

Mainly a time and work schedule issue. Once I figured out a plan (6am workouts!) I was ready to go. I was also concerned about not knowing what the heck to do with a kettlebell! Rest assured the coaches and staff make sure you’re performing each exercise correctly and getting the most out of each movement. I would recommend going to as many small group or the foundations classes if you are a novice in order to fully understand how to perform each exercise.

What are your workouts like now?

3-4 times a week large group, and a couple small groups per month. Also running on off days.

What specific results have you gotten since joining?
I have lost 25lbs since joining SKB. My body fat % has dropped significantly and I have way more energy. That helps in keeping up with 6 and 7yr old kids!

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell?
Absolutely. Anyone can workout here. I have seen all fitness and ability levels get stronger, healthier and more confident. You don’t see that at other gyms. The coaches and staff are great. They are always there pushing and motivating you to the next level of fitness. I look forward to the workouts each day, along with the other people in the classes motivating each other.

Joe F.

Before I joined SKB, I would try to work out 2-3 times a week, but this would come in waves. I would get in the groove of working out consistently for 4-5 weeks, and then completely fall off the wagon for 3 months. This off and on process went on for years. I would mix up some cardio (in the form of the Stairmaster or elliptical), with some weight training. The weight-training I was doing was bare minimum, and knowing what I know now, the inappropriate form, weight, ect. I didn’t follow a specific diet or watched what I ate before joining SKB. The Pizza Factory boxes were a constant in my fridge, weekly.

I was scared when I first started at SKB. I remember walking in the first day, and having the whole place be so foreign to me. There were no machines that I recognized, and nothing there that I felt comfortable that I knew how to do. I saw everyone in large group killing the workouts, and it made me nervous that I would never be that ‘good’ or never up to par. To overcome them, I just showed up. Everyone starts somewhere, and I knew that I would just need to keep coming and that I would get there. It didn’t hurt that everyone was so friendly, and encouraging.

Now, I try to work out 5 times a week, if I only make it to 4, I feel guilty. I have shifted away from primarily small group sessions, to more large group sessions, and I love it. I love the individual attention you get in small group, and the barbell work, but large group is so different each time I go, and I love the KB work.

When I first started at SKB, I lost 15+ pounds in a few months. That was super encouraging, and made me want to keep coming. The addiction began. I am still losing pounds, but what I love even more, is that I am noticeably getting stronger. SKB has helped me shift my mindset from watching the number on the scale, to the number on the kettlebell that I’m picking up for snatches.

I would 100% recommend SKB. No matter what level you are at, the first step is to just walk in the door. Stick with it, and even if you fall off the wagon for a few days/weeks, just come back and get right back into it.

– Ashley A.

Before taking the big step to go for my evaluation at SKB, my work outs were very inconstant to the say the best. I did not have the motivation to go to the gym as often as I truly needed to and when I did I would use the elliptical machine and the cable machines and leave after an hour with little effect. Working out was not fun, it was a struggle that I avoided. My diet was pretty much whatever I was craving or in the mood for. I used my job in EMS as an excuse to eat poorly, blaming it on my long shifts and over nights. I had used weight watchers twice, both times I cut back on eating and dropped weight fast but it never lasted. This is truly a lifestyle change and has become something I look forward to. I used to find excuses to skip the gym. Now I go out of my way to arrange my schedule so I can make it to the gym.

For me the biggest struggle to overcome was myself. I knew it would be hard work and I was nervous as to how a really obese person would be received into a cross fit gym that was full of health fanatics. I was welcomed with open arms at no point did I feel I was being looked down upon. Everyone was supportive and still is! Getting over my insecurities was the hardest part and the team at SKB did that right away.

Now I get to the gym 3-4 days a week, I do one small group and the rest are large group. I love the strength training in the small group work outs and the 1 on 1 you get. The large group is intense and lets those of us who don’t like cardio get a good cardio work out without having to do straight running (almost like fooling myself). No matter if you are doing large or small group, you are getting a good mix of cardio and strength training in!

Since starting at SKB, there have been some obvious changes I have noticed. I felt the difference in energy right away! My mood is different, I am more positive and I have much more confidence. I noticed fat falling off and lean muscle forming. Running is much easier for me now than it was, I have slowly built up to the point of being able to run without feeling as though I am going to die. My core is stronger. my arms and legs are getting thinner but much stronger.

I recommend SKB to everyone I talk to! The environment here is amazing no one is negative or rude to each other. The workouts are tough but they are fun. There are people here who are at every level of fitness and they are all positive and supportive of each other. The coach’s know each member, you are not just a number to them they know you, they know your strength, and your weakness’s. They will push you to better yourself but not tear you down. They work with you when you are new to ensure proper form safety is important to them and proper form is a must. I think anyone who is considering joining should do so without a second thought. You will not regret it!

– Sean R.

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition? My workouts prior to Kettlebell were 2 – 3 days a week of some small core work, free weights and then walking on the treadmill for 2 miles. This would take me and hour and half to complete. My nutrition changed about 3 months ago but it is a lot more focused since joining Seacoast Kettlebell. I would often slip and eat well then eat like crap. Since joining SKB, it has been a lot more focused on my intake. ( Still have cheats. Shhh.. don’t tell Jen)

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them? Time was the obstacle but it was more of an obstacle in my mind. You just have to make the time! Also my wife started a few weeks before me and I saw the changes it made in her daily life. I liked what I saw.

What are your workouts like now? 5 – 6 days a week – small groups, some large groups, boxing and foundations. A good mix.

What specific results have you gotten since joining? I noticed the fat change in my body as well as the change of 2 full pant sizes. I’m just feeling great!

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell? I would recommend SKB to anyone and everyone. The staff is outstanding and very easy to talk to. They are always willing to adapt a workout to each person. I hated going to the gym before and now I am often early to the SKB.

*In 8 weeks, down 2 full pant sizes!!!

– Travis R.

Before I walked through the doors of SKB for the first time, I thought I was in ok shape. I mean I worked out…kind of. I watched what I ate…kind of. As it turned out however, those crazy thoughts could not have been further from the truth. I signed up for the 8 Week Transformation Program in February. I figured I could stick to anything for 8 weeks.
There really was no reason for me not to give SKB a shot. I will admit that my first meeting with Sara scared me…battle ropes during the introduction, really? But she was so encouraging and that was exactly what I needed.

As a high school teacher and varsity field hockey coach I spend a lot of time encouraging my students and players, so it was nice to be the recipient of encouragement. From my first small group sessions with Jess and Luke, to Foundations with Janine to large group classes with Lisa, Rachel and Kim, the encouragement never stoped. I need to send a special shout out to Jenn. As SKB’s RD, she has taken the time to teach me how to eat properly, read food labels, portion out my food and even gave me HUGE props when I lost weight on vacation. I cannot say enough good things about all the coaches. They know you by name, they know your limitations, they know how far they can push you and they work with you to help get you to where you want to be.

Needless to say my 8 week initial commitment hooked me. I am at SKB at least 5 to 6 times a week. I still attend one small group class a week, just finished the Kick Yo Abs class and the rest of my time is spent in large group. I look forward to working out now. The way I feel after every workout is awesome and I am always proud of what I have accomplished.

Since joining SKB in February I have lost a total of 22 pounds…and I’ve done it the correct way…diet and exercise.

I would (and have) recommend SKB to anyone looking for a different, more personal way to workout. The experience I’ve had has been fantastic. I feel better about myself than I have in years. I realize that I’m not perfect. I still make mistakes. I still have goals that I want to reach. However, there is no gym that is more supportive of its members than SKB and I know that they will be with me every step of the way…even when I really don’t feel like doing battle ropes.

– Sara C.

I remember the exact day that I was absolutely ready to take control of my body. After years of struggling with my weight, yo-yo dieting, joining gyms that did not motivate me to be there, I had had it. I was approaching 40 and knew I needed to step outside of the box. And that was the day I saw an ad for an 8 week transformation on Facebook! I made the commitment at that moment, as I pushed the submit button, that I was worth it!

When I walked in to SKB for the first time, I saw the success wall, and an immediate goal of mine was to be on it… I honestly can’t believe I have. I look forward to seeing myself on here again when I reach my next goal! I now know I can get there!

In September, I began my first 8 week challenge… I was hooked! I saw changes in my body fast, but winter approached and my diet and exercise was not nearly as strict. I decided to join the LFS challenge and have watched my life change! I honestly never believed I would win, I was joining for the accountability as I seem to do better in a challenge situation!

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition? Before joining SKB, it was eat whatever I could find, as fast as I could as I often found myself eating on the go. After joining, I had honed it in a bit and was eating more like 65/35, as opposed to 80/20. I joined gyms, worked out here and there, ran a bit and got bored and quit prior to joining SKB

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them? TIME for a single mother, I always have somewhere to be or something else that needs to get done. Even after joining for months I would let other things come before ME; my health, my fitness goals….until I read a blog by Colin about the sayers and the doers…from that moment on, I decided to be a doer, and stopped feeling guilty about making time for me! (Thanks Colin)

What are your workouts like now? I workout several days a week. At least 3 large groups ( I aim for 4) 1 or 2 small groups and I try to hit up boxing at least once a week…plus I run once or twice a week at home and am more likely to be found out being active as opposed to on my couch!

What specific results have you gotten since joining? Since LFS I lost over 13 pounds and around 9 inches, bringing my total to over 20 pounds and close to 15 inches… I am more agile, and have more energy and endurance, then I have had since my early 30s.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell? I would absolutely recommend SKB, it has without a doubt changed my life! I feel better about myself and they have given me the tools I need to succeed. I look forward to going to the gym and am always greeted by the staff in a positive and encouraging manner. I have a long way to go to reach my goals, now it’s about increasing muscle and decreasing body fat. I have set goals and know that with hard work, dedication and determination I will be able to meet them, because of SKB. Where else can you see results like this?

– Kelly F.

Prior to joining SKB I didn’t really have a workout routine. In June 2014 I decided something needed to change. I had no endurance and no energy. It was even work to tie my shoes and carry the laundry up from the basement. I was at my all time highest weight. I started walking around the neighborhood while my kids went for a bike ride. I also started logging my food with My Fitness Pal. I would just try to eat a certain amount of calories, not necessarily the right ones. In September I tried a workout DVD but it was hard to motivate myself and workout consistently with my kids.

I am a very busy mom of three amazing kids who are involved in lots of activities. I work part time and volunteer in many organizations. I felt I did not have time to commit to a gym. Then I won a free month membership to SKB. I was scared to death to try it but a good friend who was already a member encouraged me to go. I didn’t think I would be able to do anything and I thought people would be laughing at me. Instead it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was hooked after a month and decided to become a member.

The coaches are the best. They meet you where you are at and push you even more. They motivate you. After a workout at SKB I always leave amazed with myself. SKB is more than a place to work out. It is a community of devoted staff and members who want to see you achieve your goals.
I now come to SKB 4-5 times a week. I have done some large group classes and enjoy yoga. The small group classes are a great fit for me. It is more personal attention and the coaches are very patient with me- even if I need a move shown to me 100 times! I actually like working out now. I am proud of myself when I achieve something new- like 18 chin ups in two minutes!

I am now eating healthier than I have ever been before thanks to Jen, RD. I am making good choices about the food I eat and fuelling my body appropriately. I participated in the Leaner, Faster, Stronger Challenge and learned a lot. I am now eating clean and following the 80/20 rule. I meet with Jen, RD every two weeks and she is motivating, encouraging, and helps me set a goal for the next two weeks. She holds me accountable which is what I needed.

I have lost a total of 15.5 inches and 36.5 pounds. I am down three sizes and needed to buy new clothes. It feels good when people say I am shrinking. I have gained so much more. I am no longer tired all the time. I have endurance to keep up with my kids and I am stronger than I have ever been.
I would whole heartedly recommend SKB to anyone- all ages and all fitness levels. They have changed my life.

– Beth D.

Seacoast kettlebell has been a blessing for me in many ways over the years. First, I was an athlete my entire life. We all know what happens when we grow up and the sports teams are no longer and our eating habits stay the same after years of not having to worry about it….WE GAIN WEIGHT!!

I lived in California after high school and participated a bit too much in the fabulous Mexican food and beverages. I managed to put on about 40lbs before returning home. My wife and I were set to get married in 2009 a year after I opened my business. After a few major life changes, I decided to try to find that athlete again.

I began training for triathlons and slowly but surely saw the weight coming off. I first joined seacoast kettlebell in 2010. It was the first time I was really excited about something in a long time. I wanted to go everyday. I wanted to do better, get stronger. Colin was a wonderful coach and was always helping to push me to my Max. Let’s face it, we all don’t have that internal motivation. Seacoast Kettlebell gives that to you. So I was hooked… My poor wife had to listen to me everyday explaining exactly what we did that day in the workout. I was so EXCITED!!!!

I took a break from SKB during my pregnancy. When I went back I could barely get through my first workout. After 2 months of small group I was stronger then I’d been in years. This place changes people’s lives.

I can’t say more about the community this gym has. The members are great and the staff is fantastic. It’s like family.

– Amanda H.

If I were to explain my experience at SKB in just a few words, it would be that it has changed my life in the best way possible. Before SKB, my workouts were sporadic and unsatisfying. I had tried personal training while spending an unmentionable amount of money – for something I always felt was mediocre at best. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It’s amazing to look back and think how much I hesitated before joining, whereas now my day isn’t complete without SKB.

As soon as you walk through the doors of SKB, you realize this is more than just a gym. It is a home of like-minded people who do nothing but encourage each other. I think it’s important to talk about not only what I have lost, but what I have gained. Foremost, I have gained lifelong friends who share the same goals and consistently motivate each other to be better. I have gained confidence, and and a new outlook on living a healthy lifestyle.

I was never an athlete – when I started at SKB, there were many things I could not do nor did I ever think I would be able to do them. Multiple push ups? No way. Run a road race? Not a chance. A hang power snatch? Um, say what? It makes me elated to say that not only am I able to do those things, but I can do them without hesitation and am always looking for a new way to challenge myself.

I realized I was reaching a plateau with my workouts. I was strong, but I knew something needed to change. I took a leap of faith and joined SKB’s 8 week transformation program. I began doing small group workouts twice a week, focusing on my form while lifting heavy, and food logging. The biggest part of my lifestyle that I was missing was how to utilize proper nutrition with the workouts. Jenn taught me how to eat for energy, and never feel deprived. I never once felt deprived, even during my cleanse. My nutrition choices have changed dramatically, and I am so happy they did. I am even stronger than when I began! I am proud to say that through this 8 week journey I lost just shy of 10 pounds and inches all over. I never thought I would be able to say that!! SKB will help you reach all your goals, you just have to take that leap.

– Brittany

What were your workouts like before joining? Your nutrition? I am a longtime runner who strength trained inconsistently. As my distance goals increased, I often cut strength training out of my workout schedule in an effort to make more time for running. I came from the school of thought that to be a better runner I needed to run more. After a minor injury sidelined me and landed me in PT I learned that I had a pretty weak core and needed to add some core strengthening into my regular routine in order to stay healthy as a runner. This is what originally led me to SKB.
I’ve always been a relatively healthy eater. I, of course, have my weaknesses, but I love fruits and vegetables and overall, I like to think of food as fuel. I’ve also always believed that I needed to eat a lot of bread and pasta as a source of carbohydrates, therefore I did.

You were a long term member then got in AWESOME shape for your wedding! What did you change? First off, thank you! I really enjoyed the discipline and accountability that the Leaner, Faster, Stronger Challenge provided me last year. I was considering doing the challenge again this year, but my goals were a bit different than last year, so I contacted Sara and she suggested that I sign up for the 8-week transformation. This provided me with 2 small group workouts/week, check-ins with Jen and the same level of discipline and accountability. Overall my goals are to be a stronger runner, increase overall muscle definition and yes, get in AWESOME shape for my wedding.

I was already running quite a bit, so small group and nutrition were key elements in helping me to reach my goals. In my initial meeting with Jen, we set some nutritional goals and I jumpstarted my healthier eating with a cleanse and logging my food. I believe that logging food is critical in looking closely at where you can make improvements. I quickly saw that I needed to be eating more protein to feel full throughout the day. Setting goals and checking in with someone regularly really helps me to stay disciplined.

What obstacles did you have to overcome to join and how did you overcome them? I think that the only obstacle I really ever had to overcome to join SKB was the initial fear of the unknown. I wasn’t sure what to expect and because I like to be good at things, I was afraid that I might not be. Although the workouts are challenging, the trainers are always helpful and encouraging. “I can’t” isn’t a choice at SKB. Everyone helps you until you “can”.

What are your workouts like now? Currently, I run 3 times/week and attend small group training 2 times/week.

What specific results have you gotten since joining? I have lost weight, become more defined and feel stronger as a runner.

Would you recommend Seacoast Kettlebell? I would absolutely recommend Seacoast Kettlebell. People ask me all the time what I do to stay fit and I always tell them about SKB and what I’ve learned from everyone there. I think it’s important for people to know that they have trainers who care about helping them to achieve their goals and working with them until they get there.

– Roxanne M.

I just wanted to send a big thank you to everyone at Seacoast Kettlebell!

After 3 months at Seacoast Kettlebell I lost 10 pounds and am ready for my college reunion this weekend. This is my lowest weight since I had both of my children! I have not enjoyed working out since I was an athlete in college. The workouts were always challenging!

I went from not being able to do a pull up to doing a whole set with chains!!! And I just ran my first 5k of the season and ran my fastest time ever. I took almost a full minute off my time!

Thank you again. I hope to return at some point as I miss working out even at 6 am already!

– Kelly B., Dover NH

I have been up and down 20/40 lbs. over the last 15 years; following fad diets, running on the treadmill, then watching it collect dust, joining the gym and eventually skipping the gym! I had always wanted to have a “toned” body, but there was always an excuse…it’s too much money, I don’t have time, too much work, etc….NOT ANYMORE!

I saw a Facebook post with Seacoast Kettlebell’s transformation program and immediately signed up before I had a chance to change my mind. I am so glad I did! I feel better, stronger and happier than I have ever felt before. I would never have been able to do this without the wonderful staff here and the welcoming, fun environment they provide.

The employees at Seacoast Kettlebell are committed to seeing you reach your goals. Jenn, the registered dietitian, and all of the trainers take the time to get to know you, your strenghts and your weaknesses. They pushed me to challenge myself and the results have been amazing! I feel that this is not just a job to them, it is their passion and that passion is contagious! Thank you…I am never going back to the old me!

– Stacy B.

I have been a member at a lot of different gym’s, but none of them gave me the workout I was looking for or the weight loss I wanted. I have been struggling with my weight loss for a long time. Then I heard about Seacoast kettlebell . Did a little research on the gym and decided to do the 1 month trial. From that point on I was hooked! I never left any of my gym’s feeling the way I feel when I leave Seacoast Kettlebell.

In April of 2014 I had to have emergency surgery on my gallbladder, lets just say things didn’t go as planned and it laid me up for about 6 to 8 weeks. When my doctor said it was ok, I started back at Seacoast but got into the smaller groups so I could slowly get my strength back and work my way up to larger classes. Seacoast kettlebell really changed my life.

To date, I have lost just under 80 lb’s went from a 46 waist to a 34/36 waist and am in the best shape of my life since my late 20’s and early 30’s. I have more energy then I know what to do with it and I owe it all to Seacoast Kettlebell.

Thank You Staff and Trainers!!

– Thomas J.

In May 2014, my friend finally convinced me to go to a Seacoast Kettlebell bring-a-friend day. I was nervous, intimidated, and out of shape. But I had reached what I liked to call, “critical mass.” I couldn’t continue to live the way I was- making poor food choice after choice, getting little to no exercise, and scorning the post-baby weight…..a year post-baby. I knew I wasn’t going to join another big-box gym. I’ve been there, and it doesn’t work. When I go, I don’t know what the hell to do with myself. Treadmill? For how long? How fast? Then what? What do I do with these weights? Is that a medieval torture device or an exercise machine? From the first workout at SKB, I was hooked. I knew this was the key to making the big change I so desperately needed. The structure, the fast-pace, the encouragement of the coaches (who seemed to know everyone’s name?!), the vibe was unlike any other gym I’d been to. “Discover your potential” as it is displayed on the wall, became my own personal mantra. The workouts are continuously challenging but I felt myself getting stronger every day. I never imagined how empowering it would be to break a PR, or to just know that two months ago you never would have been able to accomplish something that you just did with relative ease. The coaches are encouraging and are always there to push you just a little bit out of your comfort zone. And let’s not get me started on the wonderful people I’ve met since I joined and how the support and camaraderie serves as an additional motivator. A few months in, my first consult with Jenn the dietician kept ringing in my ear: “weight loss is 70% nutrition”. Then, as if by fate, a 10-day cleanse was posted. After losing 7 pounds in 10 days, I continued on by joining the Accountables 6-week program. The nutrition piece was essential- Jenn explains the rationale and science behind healthy eating and it just clicks. For the first time in my life I’m not “dieting”, I’m eating clean, healthy, and wise. The Accountables group was invaluable for ongoing education and reinforcement- not to mention peer support and awesome recipe ideas! Another 10 pounds later, I’ve lost a total of 28 pounds since joining. Several inches off of my waist, hips, bust, and biceps. I feel AMAZING.

I can’t say enough good things about Seacoast Kettlebell. Joining has been life-changing. I’m physically and mentally stronger and for the first time in my life I consider myself (somewhat) of an athlete. I’m proud of myself, I’m confident in my capabilities and this strength and confidence travels with me far outside the doors of the gym.

Thank you to everyone at Kettlebell who has been and will continue to be a part of my journey. You’re so awesome and there is no place else in the world like this, of that I’m sure.

The Couple That Sweats Together, Stays Together!

Before Seacoast Kettlebell Steve went to Planet Fitness Monday-Friday at 5:00am and lifted weight. I ran pretty regularly. I signed up to do a Spartan race and wasn’t sure how to prepare for that besides running. My cousin, Scott P, told me about Seacoast Kettebell and said it would be great to get you ready for a Spartan race. I signed up in March 2012 and loved it right away. I kept telling Steve about it because he was getting kind of bored at the gym. He started a month later and like me, loved it right away. We ate just OK, trying to eat healthy but nothing consistent.

We were very excited to do the Leaner, Faster, Stronger challenge in April. It was very easy to follow but it was also challenging. Sometimes you just wanted to eat what you wanted to eat. Knowing it was a challenge we wanted to do the best we could do. Having another couple, Mark and Ann B, to feed off of encourage each other and get food ideas from and share how we were doing helped. Jenny RD was wonderful knowing we couple pop in or email with any questions or concerns and she would be there with helpful advice and encouragement.

Steve lost 42 LBS ad 16 inches and I lost 18 LBS an 11 inches.

We feel great! We have decided to cut out diary from our diet and complex carbs. That being said, the weekends we have cheat meals. We will have pizza with cheese, sandwiches with bread, etc. Monday through Friday we are strict with out food intake. Steve’s favorite exercises are the ab wheel, bench press, shoulder press and snatches. Steve hates thrusters and pistol squats.

My favorite exercises are snatches and squats. My least favorite are planks.

Our favorite cheat meal is Pizza from Station.

We LOVE Seacoast Kettlebell!! We have met some wonderful people who have become great friends. This gym is like a family. There are great trainers who truly care about you, who encourage you, push you and praise you.

Thank you Colin and SKB Staff for all you do!

– Steve & Corinne V., Dover

How did you feel before the Leaner, Faster, Stronger Challenge? I thought I felt fine, sluggish at times. I did nap more often.
How are you feeling now? Better now! I have more energy and I rarely nap now. I feel more fit in general now.
What was the biggest challenge you faced? Healthy snacks. Protein with each fruit was tough.
How was your nutrition before the challenge? I use to eat a lot more carbs. Pasta and bread four times a week.
What is it like now? More protein and only have carbs a couple times a week. I do have a cheat meal once a week and eat whatever I want.
What were your workouts like before Seacoast Kettlebell? I have been working out since high school and thought I was working my whole body!! Then I came to Seacoast Kettlebell. I had sore muscle in places I didn’t even realize I had muscles. It is what I call functional fit, not just for show.
What were they like during the challenge? Honestly, they were tough during cleanse weeks. I was fine during balanced eating weeks.
What did you improve most on? My run time improved most.
How many inches did you lose? Just shy of ten inches.
How much weight did you lose? 20 lbs!!
What is favorite exercise move? EVIL wheel.
Least Favorite? Russian twists, I hate those!!

Intimidation came to mind the moment I thought about joining SKB. And for me, after years of sitting at a desk job for 10+ hours a day, having twins & 1 of them being diagnosed with a chronic illness, I finally said – it’s time. It’s time to focus on me and find that athlete that I used to be. But I was scared….it’s tough to come right out & say that, because I’m typically not scared of anything new. I was scared of the expectations of me – especially b/c I had been a scholarship basketball player in college.

My brother in law walked with me into SKB for the 1st time and kept telling me that I’d be fine. He had a lot more confidence in me that day than what I had in myself. I quickly found that same amount of confidence and support from everyone at SKB…. For the 1st few months, I did 2 days a week in small group. Once I was feeling stronger, I started adding in large groups… before I knew it, I was also running again!!

Then I heard about the Leaner, Faster, Stronger Challenge. After 8 weeks, not only had I lost 20+ lbs and over 10 inches, but my team ended up finishing 2nd place!! All with the support of an amazing partner, the SKB coaches & the awesome members of SKB. I truly felt my body & mind transforming….
11 months & 35 lbs later, I have definitely found that inner athlete again – my mind is still ahead of my body most of the time… but I’m working on never having to say that I ‘used to be an athlete’. I still have to modify often but the modifications are progressive. The coaches know exactly how much to push and get the maximum result out of me.

I’ve learned that fear & intimidation is truly mind over matter. Most morning I won’t even look at the WOD before I come in! And I’m not going to say that most mornings I still drive back north on the Spaulding working hard to make it home without tossing my cookies….but if I had known that facing that fear would’ve resulted in where I am today, I wouldn’t have waited so long to finally walk through those doors. The journey continues….

– Tiffany D.

My journey into being healthy started long before I actually got the motivation to do so. I have always been on the heavier side since about the 6th grade. I gained 110lbs from 2010 to 2012 between getting married and getting divorced. At the start of 2012, I was 310lbs, pre-diabetic, pre-hypertension, high cholesterol, and I was a potential Sleep Apnea case. After a short visit to Boston from NC, and seeing the pictures of me on that trip, I knew something had to be done.

I started out just changing my diet and watching what I ate. This helped me to lose about 60 lbs. It wasn’t until moving to NH in October of 2012, and joining SIX03 in April of 2013, that I was introduced to Seacoast Kettlebell.

Since joining SKB in June of 2013, I have lost another 80lbs. Bringing me from 310 to 170. I went from a 46” waist and 50R Suit Coat to a 30” waist and a 38R Suit Coat. I am in the best shape I have ever been, and plan on continuing to strive for my best at SKB.

I owe everyone on the staff at SKB for their help, advice, and coaching. I look forward to a long and happy relationship with SKB, as they have made me better, faster, and stronger than I could have imagined. SKB Truly helped me to Discover My Potential and that discovery is always a daily process.

Thanks SKB!!!

In August 2013, I made a decision to send an e-mail to Jenn about Nutrition and needing some help setting some goals for myself.

Over the past 3 months I have made some huge changes in my workouts and nutrition all in thanks to Jenn.  Jenn has met with me on a weekly basis and provided me with the greatest tools I needed to get a jump start on my weight loss and overall nutritional goals. Jenn is amazing and was instrumental in providing me all the support I needed over the last 3 months.

I started attending Small Group Training at least 3 times per week, along with my regular Large Group Training. The Small Group Trainers pushed me to give 100% and I am convinced that this combined with Jenn’s nutritional plan has been the only reason for my weight loss.

I owe a huge Thank You to everyone at SKB.

I am so grateful for the amazing support and encouragement I received from the entire team at Seacoast Kettlebell.  They took what could have been a very intimidating experience and made me feel welcome and included from day one.  Colin and his team are warm and engaging from the moment you meet them.  I was and continue to be so impressed with how all the coaches know and remember everyone’s name.  The 90 Day Accountability experience gave me just the jump start I needed to get on the path toward making good nutrition and exercise choices every day.

Thank you SKB for making me part of your amazing healthy family!

My challenge at Seacoast Kettlebell ended today.  It wasn’t easy, it was definitely a challenge, but I finished it and am successful!  17.5 pounds lost, 10.5 total inches lost (4″ from my waist, 3.75″ from my hips, 1.75″ from my chest and 1″ from my arms).  In a little over 6 months, I have lost a total of 34 pounds,15% body fat and gained a ton of muscle.  I can’t begin to tell you how good I feel inside and out.  I am a better person!  Thank you to Colin McGarty for giving me this opportunity, to Jenn Gosselin for being my awesome nutrition coach, to Roxanne Monmaney for helping to get my butt up and motivated and inspiring me to be fit and healthy, and last but not least to Brandon Connors for being my biggest supporter through this crazy healthy lifestyle change we have done together.  I couldn’t have done it without you.

-34lbs & 15% body fat since June 2013!

Never in a million years did I think I would join anything like Seacoast Kettlebell, but here I am, almost 6 months later, and I can honestly say it has changed my life.

I was happy enough with my boring, unproductive routine at another local gym and didn’t understand why some of my friends would willing go and do some of the workouts they’d tell me about at SKB. I thought they were insane! In March I finally caved to the constant urging to try the intro class. I had nothing to lose so I set up the appointment and went in thinking “I know I won’t like it so I’ll just get this over with and be on my way” Boy was I ever wrong! 40 minutes later I walked out as a new member and I have never looked back! The weight loss has been steady and at a healthy rate. 19 pounds down and I feel great! The inches seem to keep melting off which is just as great as seeing the scale go down. My energy level has increased dramatically and I actually count down the minutes until my day is over and I can get to class. I’m a completely different person now!

The other members are incredible. It amazes me every time I am there that a complete stranger will, out of nowhere, push you along and give you the encouragement you need to keep going. And I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff there. They are the most supportive group of people I have ever been around! Whether I’m in small group or large group I know that I am getting the best instructions and encouragement from all the coaches. Simply put, you all are amazing and I owe each of you a huge thank you!

– Shelley M – Dover NH

Since joining Seacoast Kettlebell I have lost 30 pounds of weight. The first 10 from working out and other 20 I lost from using the accountables program (where I learned about good eating habits) and hitting the workouts really hard. Now that I have leaned up and become stronger, I am a much happier and more confident person then I was when I joined. Since reaching my weight loss goals I have maintained my weight and my workouts. I also found that I am passionate about running thanks to many members of Seacoast Kettlebell that are part of the running community. In the space of a year I have successfully run several 5ks, 4 milers, 5 milers, 10ks, 1 tough mudder, and my first half marathon. I am currently training for my first full marathon thanks to the strong base that SKB has given me. The coaches support me, and go out of their way to lend me the support that I need in the gym and outside of it.

Thank you Coaches and SKBers,

– Joel E., Dover, NH

I can’t thank SKB and your Accountables class enough Jenn! I think that anyone who is beginning a workout regime at SKB should also go through your 6-week Accountables class in order to gain education on the relationship between proper nutrition and fitness. Personally for me, I entered SKB skeptical of my ability to commit and stay committed. I’ve spent so much of my life “yo-yoing” up and down in weight, however, this is the first time I’ve seriously integrated both important nutritional changes and exercise into my attempts to get in shape (I guess Wi Fit doesn’t really count). Your wonderful classes and the amazing and challenging workouts have been life changing for me. Clearly the percentages and numbers from my Accountables results have proved this. I’ve met many members, and have thoroughly enjoyed the sense of community and support that meeting these people has provided me. In conclusion, I can’t thank you and all the trainers enough. You are a group of energetic, supportive, and dedicated individuals. While I really love the Kettlebells, I truly believe that it has been the five of you that has made the SKB experience so impacting and beneficial for me. Thank you and the SKB staff for everything that you all have done for me!

I’ve been a member of Seacoast Kettlebell for a year now and hands down, it has been THE BEST gym experience I’ve had.

Here was my situation a year ago – most of my life, up until we had kids, I’d stayed in top shape with a combination of running, biking, climbing. . . etc. However, with 2 young kids under 4, at 39 years old, I found myself very out of shape. I’d tried the P90X and the INSANITY videos (which are great) but I’d never stick with them for more than a couple weeks.

I needed exactly what Seacoast Kettlebell offered:

  1. Intense, varied workouts that were 1 hour long and offered throughout the day at times that worked with my family, kid, work schedule
  2. Accountability – coaches and others at the gym to push me when, if I was working out on my own, I would want to slack off. Everyone is friendly and the culture at SKB is to encourage each other.
  3. Wholistic – the workouts, over the course of a week, address every aspect of fitness, from endurance to cardio to core strength and also flexibility. No home routine was giving me that.

At SKB, I have found that I’m training with SERIOUS athletes and I am always pushed to work hard. Some of these fellow SKB’ers are training for marathons/triathlons plus several UNH teams are trained by SKB – that said, there are always serious athletes at each class that really push me so I can make the most of the hour-long session. Some people will find that training at this level is not for them.

In 2011 I gave up. I was not investing in my health or my body.

I walked into Seacoast Kettlebell with major back issues and arthritis. My body weight was out of control for my short 5’3 stature. I was hitting 6’s and 7’s on a pain scale of 10, some days it hurt to walk down the stairs. Being veteran of rugby, a sport I played for nearly 10 years, I needed some sort of extra push, walking on a treadmill, hanging out on an elliptical machine just wasn’t doing it, I wasn’t committing, I wasn’t working very hard.

Meeting Colin (the owner) for the first time I was overjoyed at knowing that he had a sense of humor, not something I thought I would find in an army kind of guy. He made me feel comfortable, showed me how to do the kettlebell movements before I was even allowed to go to class to ensure I was being safe and was pumped that I was there. Not just because I was another person spending money at the gym, but because he thought he could help me. And he did.

Right away I realized this was not your typical Planet Fata$$ $19.00 a month gym. He knew everyone’s name, remembered which weights they should be using, challenged them when they didn’t work hard and joked with them when he hadn’t seen them in a while. All the trainers are like that, they make you feel like family and come to find out, so did a great number of people that go there. No one looked at me like I was fat and didn’t belong, they pushed me when I slowed down, asked me if I was ok when I needed to stop and challenged me to go heavier and harder. Someone even ran with me one of my first workouts, after he had already done the running, just so I wouldn’t give up.

I’ve lost weight, lost inches, my back doesn’t hurt anymore and beyond that I’m more invested in my body and my strength and my will more than I ever have been. I am in very little to no pain, my arthritis is handled and instead of hitting 6’s and 7’s on the pain scale, I’m hitting PR’s on my weights, barbell and kettlebells alike.

Is this the place to go if you’re looking to walk around, waste time, maybe burn a couple calories and eat some pizza? Not at all. Well, maybe, you’ll just get disappointed when there isn’t pizza and someone is pushing you to your max. This is the place to go when the gimmick of $10 a month fails you and you realize that you need more. This is the place to go if you want to meet some of the most incredible, inspiring people you’ve ever met in your life. This is the place to go to become part of something bigger than yourself. Lastly, this is the place to go if you want to change your life, just like I’ve changed mine.

– Andrea B., Dover, NH

Seacoast Kettlebell…where do I start? SKB is awesome.

Here’s me in a nutshell: 3 sport varsity athlete through high school, continued ice hockey through college and then coached for a couple of years, met my hubs, had two daughters and didn’t workout for about 3 years. Not pretty.

Last February I started at another gym doing 6am classes. With 2 small children I needed a early morning workout so I could spend the rest of my day energized and strong. The tough part – feeling motivated enough to get up at 6 am, which I have never done my entire life! The first gym I tried was lackluster. After 4 weeks the teacher still didn’t know my name and the workouts did not kick my butt. Then my chiropractor, In Motion Chiropractic in Dover, recommended SKB, and now 10 months later I am in the best shape of my life.

The first day I started SKB, I had the intro with Chris and was immediately impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He was very thorough, being sure that I understood how and when to move for the best workout and to avoid injury. The very next day I started my first 6am class and I have never looked back. Each and every workout is different, each instructor is knowledgeable and supportive, and I feel challenged. The progress physically happened fairly quickly – but that is not surprising since I was terribly out of shape. After having two children I had told my husband that I didn’t plan on ever wearing a two piece bathing suit again, and this past summer I not only got to wear a two piece, but for the first time I actually felt comfortable in it!

I really can’t say enough about Colin and his crew there. He is so passionate about his job, and has a way of making you feel important and supported. He has done an excellent job training his staff and ensuring that every workout is worth getting out of a warm bed at 5:30 am!

– Tara H., Dover, NH

” ….and then your accounts/clients start saying “what have you been doing, you look amazing”…and it all makes sense. THANK YOU SKB!”

–  Jess P., Dover, NH

Since joining SKB 4 months ago I’ve lost over 25 lbs. I’ve lost 7% body fat, 5″ off my waist, 5″ off my hips and added 1″ to my biceps. I come to SKB 3-5 times per week and have to say that I simply can’t wait to get here each day. The workouts are fantastic and challenging. The trainers are great and the clientele who come here are inviting and supportive of one another. This is by far the best gym I’ve ever been to! I’m 41 years old and feel like I’m honestly in the best shape of my life. Thank you for the great work you have done with me in helping me to reach my fitness goals for 2012!

– Rob G., Age 41

Before doing Accountables, I was in pretty good shape and ate decently most of the time. However, my portion sizes were all out of whack – I’d eat until I was uncomfortably full, and I drank way too much too. What I wanted from Accountables were some ideas on how to control my portions and also some ways to get more variety into my diet. After 6 weeks of Accountables, I now know what appropriate portion sizes are, I’ve tried at least 10 new recipes, I am better at making healthier choices when I go out to eat, and I barely drink alcohol (and I feel better!). The crockpot is my new best friend. On top of that, I’ve lost 5 lbs and inches all over! Unhealthy, greasy food doesn’t even taste that good anymore

I would highly recommend Accountables for everyone – even people who think they can’t benefit from it.

– Heidi H., Age 31

A huge thanks to Colin, Lisa, and the rest of the SKB coaches. I completely stopped running Oct 3rd after my last race, ran 0 times in Nov, Dec, Jan, and just a few runs in February. I did however, start kettlebell in mid December. I ran an ultra-hilly 5k in Portland today and despite virtually no training runs, thanks to SKB, I crushed my previous time by over 5 minutes, even setting a new PR by over a minute from my previous best set in 2009. Thanks again, looking forward to continued progress.

– Sean H., Age 31

Just overall the whole [Accountables] program was very realistic to everyday life, I never felt like I had to withhold the things I loved, just instead viewed them as a reward
for having a great work week and sticking to my plan. Walking away with tangible strategies, meal plans and nutrition information; instead of just the typical “philosophy” type stuff, really makes this program stand out. And like I said before, I’m really looking forward to the nice weather and feeling that motivation to go through the cleanse and get through the packets again. Thanks!

– Katelyn R., Age 27

My success with Seacoast Kettlebell is much the same as the other testimonials: I lost 20 pounds in 6 months, was running faster, and felt better and stronger than ever. An experience this past January, however, was nothing short of amazing.
Shortly after signing up for the Walt Disney World Goofy Challenge last spring (running a half marathon and a marathon on back-to-back days) I suffered a knee injury that made it nearly impossible for me to run further than three miles. I had limped out a couple of slow longer runs while still in denial about my injury but eventually reached a point where the pain was unbearable. Physical therapy didn’t help and my eventual knee surgery kept me from running until three weeks before the race, which my surgeon told me not to run. In the three months prior to the race, I logged a grand total of 20-25 miles of running but I was able to continue with slightly modified workouts at Seacoast Kettlebell 2-3 times each week. I went to Florida to support my wife during the race, but the pre-race adrenaline got the best of me and I decided to do the half marathon and see what happened. I expected the worst, but was surprised to find that it was like I had never stopped running. Giddy to be running again, I decided to give the marathon a try and finished it feeling better than I had after either of my previous marathons.
I ran 39.3 miles in two days, nearly double the distance of my entire pre-race training program and only 6 weeks after having knee surgery. Thank you Seacoast Kettlebell for saving my race weekend! I will never look at training the same way again!

– Artie B., Age 31

Since joining Seacoast Kettlebell 6 months ago, I have lost 13 pounds, 3 dress sizes and dropped 13 minutes off of my 5 mile time! Thanks Seacoast Kettlebell!!!

– Rochelle Y., Dover, NH

Thanks to Seacoast Kettlebell, I was able to cut 6.5 minutes off of my 5K time from the year before, 1.5 minutes from my 5K time from the month before, added an additional 15 pound weight loss to the 50 I had already lost, and dropped 2 pant sizes… And I’ve only been going for 3.5 months!

– Lauren A., Dover, NH

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how grateful I am for you and Seacoast Kettlebell. You make the difference! It really has changed my life. Thank you for pushing me. I am learning how important exercising is at this point in my life. How crazy is that at 44 years old? I have met so many great people that truly inspire me to be a better me. I couldn’t even run to my mailbox before without being out of breath never mind around the block just for a warm up! LOL!! Terri and I even went after bells today just for a cool down. I am lifting weights, and doing crazy workouts that are so challenging I never think I will make it. Always do, Thanks to you.
Thanks so much.

– Susan P., Somersworth, NH

I am 53 yoa and started at SKB in February 2011. Two friends, Matt B. and Thom H. introduced me to Colin. I found the classes to be very enjoyable and challenging. The other day I had my annual physical at work. The nurse was taking my pulse and asked if I was “DEAD”. My resting heart rate was 48 and my blood pressure was 110/70. I wanted to thank you, Christina, Lisa, Katie and the rest of the motivated SKB Staff.
Thanks again,

– Chip C., Durham, NH

I am 65 years old. I first waddled into SKB Sept 2010. Colin looked at his dad and said this guy is in trouble and needs special handling. At that time I was over weight, big time, and 30 years out of shape. I was lucky to perform one rep out of each set without weights. I thought I was heading to H _ _ L. After 6 classes they increased my weight, yippee, to my empty water bottle. Six months later I visited my cardiologist, he was shocked. My stress test improved by 7 minutes, my blood pressure and pulse improved considerably, I lost 30 pounds and 2 pants sizes with only a small change in my diet. I have spent years with aerobics and weights with no success. SKB is casual and comfortable and a lot of fun. If I can do it you can to. I wish I had pictures.

– Bill D., Age 65

FYI, I just ran a half marathon with no training other then SKB/crossfit. Came in at 1:43:00, much better then I expected! Definitely a credit to your coaching and programming.

– John H., Dover, NH

Over the past year I have seen my blood pressure rise to pre-hypertension levels and sometimes higher. I started seacoast kettlebell about six weeks ago, attending class 2-3 times a week. After 2 weeks of classes and mixing in some running in between class days, I feel less stress and more relaxed. I started sleeping better and feeling good. I went to the doctors recently and had my blood pressure taken. When the nurse gave me the reading(114/79), I asked her if she made a mistake because my reading hasn’t been that low for a while. The classes are extremely challenging, fun, addicting and full of people who motivate and encourage you. I wish I could go everyday.

– Rob L., Dover, NH

In 3 months at Seacoast Kettlebell I have lost over 20 pounds and many inches. I look better, feel better and love the workouts! They remind me of high school sports practice or physical training when I was in the military.

– Beau L., Dover, NH

Joining Seacoast Kettlebell is the best lifestyle change I have made in the last 3 years.

– Jason L., Dover, NH

I started classes at Seacoast Kettlebell several months ago and cleaned up my diet. Now I am 10 pounds lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight!!!!

– Joan W., Somersworth, NH

I have lost 5 inches and am down over 20 pounds since starting classes at Seacoast Kettlebell—with no dieting! Kettlebells rock!!

– Kiarna B., Portsmouth, NH

Sure, I made resolutions to get in shape before. I would go to the gym in bursts, but before long I’d find excuses to skip those boring hours on the elliptical. Getting engaged gave me the incentive I needed to find something I’d actually stick with. I’m so glad I found Seacoast Kettlebell! The classes are short, so they’re easy to incorporate into my routine, and they’re never the same. You never know what diabolical workout Colin has planned! The sense of community really helps, too — it’s so much more fun than working out independently in a room full of strangers. It hasn’t even been two months, but the little bells I started with are already too light! It’s empowering to see results so fast. Thanks to Seacoast Kettlebell, I’m looking forward to feeling toned and strong on my wedding day and beyond.

– Jennifer K., Durham, NH

I used to be a “donor”. I had a gym membership I paid every month and I would usually get into the gym once or twice a week and go through the motions without really seeing any results. I drove by Seacoast Kettlebell and was curious and attended the Elements orientation. I was hooked. The classes are tough, challenging & always fun and different. In two months of working out regularly, my fitness level is better than it’s been in many years and I look forward to each workout. Thanks Colin and Seacoast Kettlebell for kicking my ass into gear.”

– Joe S., Dover, NH

After just 12 weeks of working out with a kettlebell I lost 3 inches from my waist and dropped a pant’s size! I feel strong and toned. I love the workouts at Seacoast Kettlebell, Colin alwayshas something fun and different planned. It never gets boring. This is the longest I’ve stuck with a program.

– Karen O., Epping, NH

I am a high school track and strength coach. I have tried everything in the gym. Right now I am just looking to burn calories and stay strong, without spending forever in the gym. The kettlebell workouts fit perfectly into my busy schedule. The other night I wore my heart rate monitor and burned almost 700 calories in just under 40 minutes of kettlebell work. It’s fun and effective.

– Greg M., Dover, NH

I was already in shape to begin with, but I love the challenging workouts. Sometimes we just use the kettlebells and other times we do crossfit style workouts. You never know what to expect, and you work cardio and strength at the same time. It takes the boring out of going to the gym!

– Kelly W., Dover, NH

I have been going to the gym for years and have even worked with personal trainers. I recently quit the gym and now do all my workouts at Seacoast Kettlebell where I don’t have to think – I show up, do what I am told, get individual attention in a small group format and have fun. Even better – I now need less than an hour to get a great workout! After just a month I have seen big improvements in my stength and stamina and feel great about my body. Seacoast Kettlebell Rocks My Body!

– Dawn Z., Dover, NH

The workouts at Seacoast Kettlebell are really fun and challenging! I have only been coming for a few weeks but I have already lost a couple of inches! I also feel better and stronger.

I am a level 1 RKC instructor from Champlin Minnesota, and recently visited Dover NH. I went to Seacost Kettelbell to check it out and to get in a workout while traveling. I was very impressed with everything about Seacoast and Colin. I have been working (practicing) with kettlebells for over 3 years, and never have done the type of Crossfit/kettlebell circuit that Colin put me through. I believe that Crossfit/Kettlebells will give you total fitness that can be used for sports or everyday life, it develops strength-endurance, power, agility, resiliency, and flexibility. And best of all it is FUN. I wish Colin and Seacoast Kettlebell continued success, and look forward to my next visit.

The workouts at Seacoast Kettlebell are some of the most effective and efficient I’ve found. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take their fitness to the next level.

I joined Seacoast Kettlebell to prep for a flight paramedic fitness test. After about 8 weeks of class, I breezed though the test, aced the flight physical, and got the job!!!
