DAY 1: SPORTS PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN…

Structured Warm Up

RAMP method warm up. Warm up like professional athletes with this simple, proven and effective physical preparation protocol. Not only will it improve your performance but it will also reduce the risk of injury!

Speed, Agility & Quickness

Speed, agility, and quickness (SAQ) drills help you have quicker feet, to move as fast as possible, ability to change direction quickly and effectively, improve balance, and improve your reflexes for a faster reaction time.

Plyometrics

Increase your power with lower and upper body plyometric drills, also known as “jump training” or “plyos” exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals of time.

Core Stability

Improve posture and balance, injury prevention, rehabilitation and sport performance enhancement. Torso muscles are known as the powerhouse muscles, core stability assists in providing a solid base upon which all other muscles can work upon to initiate movement.

Strength Training

Build strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles with strength training of the lower and upper body using push/pull resistance.

Professional Mentoring

Stephen and Josh share their vast experience, so you’ll have the tools and knowledge to be able to attract new clients and retain the ones you already have.  Train yourself or your clients to be faster, more agile, and more explosive on the court, track, field, or in the ring!

  2. Warming up: how and why to structure an effective kickboxing specific warm up
  3. Learn the fundamentals of kickboxing and how to coach them effectively with professional Muay Thai coach Jason Zickerman
  4. How to teach kickboxing fundamentals to beginners in a private and group setting
  5. Shadow boxing; how, why, and practicality
  6. The heavy bag ; how, why, and practically, including how to use it for an HIIT class
  7. Learn how to build longterm relationships with clients – with Jason Zickerman and Glenn Holmes.
  8. Pad work; correct pad holding technique. How to build combinations and use the pads effectively for a kickboxing fitness workout
