What Does The SKB Culture Mean To You? I Love what SKB has become. I strive to foster a culture where collectively we encourage and empower each other to be the best version of ourselves. I can’t stand the trend in gyms where everyone is an “elitist” who is only trying to beat the other people in class with no regard for form, exercise selection or appropriateness, etc.  Unless you are a pro athlete or Navy SEAL let’s stop throwing around the “elite-ness” and have some fun working out.
What Is Your Favorite Exercise? Snatches!!!!
Least Favorite Exercise? Squats suck.
What do you do when you are not coaching at the gym? Hanging out with my family & Lawn Maintenance.

Who Do You Look Up To? Why? My dad. For his calm, loving ways in which he raised his 4 children. I have never heard him speak ill of anyone in all my life and he brings the best out of everyone he meets. He was my biggest supporter through all my years of competing in track and cross country and helped me to find the confidence that I lacked through his coaching and constant support in my successes and my failures.

What Does The SKB Culture Mean To You? The SKB culture is the most welcoming community I’ve ever experienced at a gym.  Some of my closest friends have come from workout partners.  I feel lucky to be apart of such a wonderful team of employees and group of clients that are more like extended family members.  Everyone brings something different to the table, and that’s what makes SKB so unique.
Favorite Exercise? Snatches.
Least Favorite Exercise? 1 Arm Rows…the devil.
What do you do when you are not coaching at the gym? I’m also an Emergency Veterinary Technician; so when I’m not at the gym I’m either saving 4 legged critter’s, relaxing at home with my husband & 3 Boxers, or spending time with my family.
Who Do You Look Up To? Why? My dad!  He was my biggest supporter throughout my softball career, and wanted nothing but that best out of me.  He was never scared to tell me when I was succeeding or failing.  He was well liked by everyone in the community and couldnt say enough good things about everyone else.
Guilty Indulgence? Pizza for breakfast, lunch, dinner & dessert.
If you could be any superhero who would it be? Why?  I’m not big on superheroes, but if I could have one super power it would be to fly.  I’m a sucker for adrenaline rushes.

What Does The SKB Culture Mean To You? SKB culture changed the way I look at fitness and overall health. They made it fun to be a workout fanatic. It made it a lot easier to show up and go hard and leave it all out there on the gym floor… good day or bad day. People care and wonder where you are if you’re not showing up and you suddenly become a part of this great community that share in a common goal of being better than they were yesterday. I couldn’t imagine not being a part of this place. I’m inspired by peoples commitment here, everyday.
What Is Your Favorite Exercise? Snatches!!!!
Least Favorite Exercise? Turkish get-ups. We equally dislike each other I think.
What do you do when you are not coaching: I like to hangout with friends and family and relax. They’re the biggest part of my life, so anywhere with them is where I like to be. Dinners, movies, game nights, camp ect.
Who Do You Look Up To?  Why? My Dad. He’s done more to help me and the people around him than he will ever know. He’s quiet about it and is completely self-sacrificing. If I could be half of that, I’d be proud.

What does SKB culture mean to you? Trusting the system, buying into the system, becoming part of the team, and getting results. I grew up as a multi-sport athlete and then went in to the military.  When it came to working out, I’ve always just done what I was told to do.  When those things kind of fell away for me, I wondered around a traditional gym and did things I was good at (leg stuff mainly).  I came to SKB and that workout on the board was what we were doing, no questions asked. On that board was a bunch of stuff I was bad at, but that was OK.  The culture here is that if you’re bad at something, that’s ok, but we are still doing it. We are going to teach you the right way to do it, and you will get better at it, all you need to do is just keep showing up.
What is your favorite exercise?  Air squats and Turkish Get Ups
What is your least favorite exercise?  Anything my wife is better than me at (Pistols, chin ups, middle and really long distance running, the list continues to grow…)
Who do you look up to and why?  Anyone that can consistently make the 6 AM workout.  I am not what you would call a “morning person”
Guilty Indulgence? Anything salty and crunchy in vast quantities.
If you could be any superhero who would it be? Why? Captain America, there’s a reason he’s the boss.
